For the first time since 2005, the best players in the men’s collegiate game are coming to a TV near you when Golf Channel airs the 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship. The second-oldest contested amateur golf championship in the United States behind the U.S. Amateur, the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship introduces you to golf’s future stars in an exciting format consisting of stroke and match play.
No matter which squad you’re rooting for, join in on school spirit as the country’s top teams tee it up at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kansas. Among the top-seeded teams in the field are 2013 champion Alabama, Oklahoma State, Stanford and 2013 runner-up Illinois.
Golf Channel’s live broadcast begins with coverage of the fourth and final round of stroke play on Monday, May 26 at 5PM ET. The top 40 players and ties from a three-round stroke play qualifier will advance to Monday’s final round to determine a 72-hole stroke play individual champion, while the top eight teams from stroke play advance to match play. Live match-play coverage on Golf Channel begins with Tuesday’s semifinal matches and concludes with the crowning of a winner after Wednesday’s final match.
