PITTSFORD, N.Y. – This LPGA Championship sounds different than most.
Bells and trains provide part of the challenge.
Morgan Pressel was about to hit a tee shot at the ninth hole when the bells at The Carmelite Monastery began chiming at the noon hour behind her.
The facility, a home for retired nuns, is located alongside the hole.
At the other end of the course, Pressel and fellow competitors Michelle Wie and Ai Miyazato played their tee shots at the fourth hole with a train rumbling by the entire length of the hole.
