Actually, when you consider that she has won just once this year, it is further evidence that the tour lacks a dominating presence as the LPGA prepares for its final major championship of the season.
World No. 1 Lorena Ochoa and Jiyai Shin lead the tour with two victories each this season, but the Player of the Year race is wide open. Kerr leads with 98 POY points with 60 points available to this week’s winner alone. There are a lot of players with a lot to play for over the final four months of the season.
