FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Round 2 is finally in the books and only 60 players made the cut, which means there’s still a fighting chance to crown a U.S. Open champion by Sunday evening.
The third round will begin at 5:30 p.m. ET where there will be a two-tee start with players going off both the first and 10th tees. They will be paired in twosomes. Leaders Ricky Barnes and Lucas Glover are scheduled for 7:22 p.m.
Weather is still an issue though. It’s still overcast with an off-and-on drizzle. There may be thunderstorms to contend with. More than one forecast calls for a 95 percent chance of thunderstorms by 7 p.m.
