PITTSFORD, N.Y. – First-round play at the 95th PGA Championship was suspended at 4:25 p.m. ET Thursday because of storms in the area. If the weather cooperates, play is scheduled to resume at 5:35 p.m. ET.
No player in the afternoon wave had completed his opening round when the horn sounded. It was not immediately clear how long the delay would last.
Jim Furyk was already in the house with a 5-under 65, and Masters champion Adam Scott was 5 under through 10 holes.
In a tie for third were David Hearn (66) and Miguel Angel Jimenez, who was 4 under through 12 holes.
Tiger Woods shot 71 in Round 1, while British Open winner Phil Mickelson was 2 over through 10 holes.
