Woods’ approach shot to the final hole of the 2000 Canadian Open has crashed the semifinals with a victory over his post-victory hat slam at the 2008 Bay Hill Invitational, the 12th seed.

Semifinal No. 1
Tiger’s 6-iron from a fairway bunker on the par-5 18th at Glen Abbey has been on an upset run, first disposing of the No. 4 seed, his finger-pointing reaction to a playoff birdie at the 2000 PGA Championship, and then knocking off a fellow longshot in the quarterfinals.
But now it faces the top overall seed.
Tiger’s emotional outburst after forcing a Monday playoff at the 2008 U.S. Open has routed its first two opponents, including garnering nearly 92 percent of the vote in Round 1.
Semifinal No. 2
The lower half features a more traditional Final Four matchup with the Nos. 2 and 3 seeds squaring off, pitting a pair of Tiger’s most memorable moments at Augusta National against one another.
Woods has won the Masters four times. His most recent triumph involved the second seed, his dynamic chip-shot on the 16th hole in the final round in 2005. His first triumph involved the third seed, hugging father Earl after his historic run in 1997.
