For the first time in nearly six months, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler are all scheduled to compete in the same event this week at the WGC-Cadillac Championship outside of Miami. NBC Sports Group will dedicate more than 20 hours of live tournament coverage on Golf Channel and NBC, focusing on the 66-man field which stands as one of the strongest all season with 47 of the top-50 ranked players in the world committed. The LPGA Tour this week boasts its own elite field, with the entire top-10 and 18 of the top-20 in the world set to compete in the HSBC Women’s Champions in Singapore, where World No. 2 Inbee Park will look to defend her 2015 title.

Spieth, Day, McIlroy and Fowler headline elite field, competing in the same event for the first time since ’15 TOUR Championship: The first World Golf Championship (WGC) event of 2016 features one of the best fields of the season, with 47 of the top-50 in the world entered among the invitation-only list of 66 competitors. The event also marks the first time since the 2015 TOUR Championship nearly six months ago that Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler are all expected to compete in the same event.
Golf Central player news conference, Wednesday at 2 p.m. ET: Golf Channel will air a special player news conference on Wednesday beginning at 2 p.m. ET. The news conference will center around Tiger Woods’ appearance at Bluejack National in Texas (scheduled to appear at 2:15 p.m. ET), and will continue with player appearances from Trump National Doral, including Dustin Johnson, Adam Scott, Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth.
Morning Drive on-site from Doral: Golf Channel’s daily news program, Morning Drive (7-9 a.m. ET Thursday-Friday; 7:30-10:30 a.m. ET Saturday-Sunday), will feature on-site reports Thursday-Sunday from Trump National Doral. Gary Williams and Charlie Rymer will provide live updates on location and conduct interviews with players and other guests throughout the week.
