Ben Curtis collected his first win since the 2003 British Open on Tuesday at the Booz Allen Classic and in the process, moved to 104th in this week’s Official World Golf Ranking.
Curtis, who had to wait until Tuesday for the win thanks to multiple rain stoppages, climbed 101 places after his five-stroke victory.
Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, Retief Goosen and Jim Furyk remained in the top-five this week. The second five also stayed in the same places with Adam Scott, Ernie Els, U.S. Open winner Geoff Ogilvy, Sergio Garcia and David Howell rounded out the top-10.
David Toms held on to No. 11 followed by Luke Donald, Colin Montgomerie, Jose Maria Olazabal and Henrik Stenson.
Chad Campbell took 16th, while Tim Clark, Stuart Appleby and Darren Clarke stayed in their places from last week. Padraig Harrington, who tied for second place at the Booz Allen Classic, moved up three pegs to No. 20. Chris DiMarco fell one to 21st.
Paul Casey won the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles and jumped up five places to No. 34.
