Inkster Moves Up to 8th Wie Stays No 2

Inkster’s win at the Safeway International last weekend -- her first title in three years -- moved her up two places to No. 8 in the current Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.

The players in the top 10 remained unchanged, although Inkster’s movement dropped Jeong Jang and Hee-Won Han down one spot apiece to eighth and ninth, respectively.

Annika Sorenstam remained first, followed by Michelle Wie, Paula Creamer, Yuri Fudoh, Cristie Kerr, Ai Miyazato and Lorena Ochoa to round out the top seven.

Following Inkster, Jang and Han were Jee Young Lee at 11th, Sakura Yokomine at 12th, Natalie Gulbis at 13th, Catriona Matthew at 14th and Karrie Webb at 15th.

Shiho Ohyama, Kasumi Fujii, Grace Park, Meena Lee and Rosie Jones rounded out the top 20.

Further down the list, Sarah Lee made a move to 79th after finishing second behind Inkster
