- New Qualifying
The PGA TOUR has a new qualifying process for its 2014 season. Starting in fall of 2013, the top 75 players on the Nationwide Tour and numbers 126 to 200 on the FedExCup Points List will play for 50 PGA TOUR cards during a 3-event tournament. Q-school will now be solely for Nationwide Tour cards.
- New Schedule
The PGA TOUR will also unveil a new wraparound schedule that same fall. Its official season will start in October 2013 and end with the TOUR Championship the following September.
- Home Sweet Home
Lake Nona wins the Tavistock Cup on its home course. The team combined to shoot 41-under par which was two better than Team Isleworth.
- Goodbye Mallorca
The European Tour is cancelling the Iberdrola Open in Spain. Scheduled to begin May 10th, the European Tour says the event couldn’t survive without a title sponsor. Darren Clarke won last year’s tournament by 3 shots.
