Vaughn Dalzell breaks down how to bet the Phoenix Suns’ Chris Paul O/U 9.5 Assists player prop versus the Sacramento Kings.
Chris Paul O/U 9.5 Assists vs. Kings
For our lone NBA play of the day, let’s go to the nightcap of the association and target Chris Paul‘s assist prop.
In CP3’s last 10 games versus the Kings, the Suns point guard has dished out 10-plus assists seven times, including four of the past six. In the latest outing versus Sacramento, which came on Feb. 14, Paul had a season-high 19 assists in 37 minutes of action (120-109 win).
Since then, Paul averages 14.1 potential assists per game over seven games, lower than his 16.8 on the season. To start March, Paul averages 14.0 potential assists and 9.2 assists converted per game. Phoenix is 4-0 to start March.
Over the Kings last four games, Sacramento ranks 28th in the NBA over that span with 29.5 assists permitted per game to their opponent and last in the league with 29.5 allowed over the previous 10 outings.
This is a positive matchup for CP3 to get 10-plus assists after going Under in two-straight games.
Without Kevin Durant, CP3 will get more usage and therefore, have some more assist opportunities in a pivotal game as Sacramento holds a 2.5 game lead over Phoenix in the Pacific Division.
I played CP3 Over 9.5 Assists at -125 odds and would play the Over 10.5 for a half-unit.
Pick: Chris Paul Over 9.5 Assists (1u)
