While the 2015 and 2016 classes have received the majority of the attention in recruiting, and rightfully so considering the fact that the 2015 players will be enrolling in colleges across the country next summer, some high school underclassmen were able to make names for themselves this summer. One such player is 2017 guard Trevon Duval, who attends St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark, New Jersey and plays his grassroots basketball for the Playaz Basketball Club.
Among Duval’s teammates this summer were five-star 2015 guard Isaiah Briscoe, Delaware commit Elijah Cain and 2016 guard Temple Gibbs, and Duval was able to establish himself as a player to watch in the future. The Basketball Diary put together a mixtape of some of the best plays from Duval’s freshman year of high school, which can be seen above.
Duval already holds offers from Seton Hall, Rutgers, Villanova, Miami, Pittsburgh and SMU, and the list of suitors is likely to grow in the months to come.
