This past weekend, the XFINITY Series held a stand-alone schedule at Wisconsin’s Road America road course on Saturday. The CUP and Gander Truck Series were busy in Michigan’s Irish Hills at the Michigan Int’l Speedway. On Friday night, the trucks needed seven overtime laps to determine the winner of their event. The CUP Series drivers were active for two days competing in the Michigan DoubleHeader races on Saturday and Sunday. Kevin Harvick could not be stopped. He led the most laps in both races and swept the weekend with two victories. He became the first driver to win back-to-back races at the same track in consecutive days in the NASCAR Cup Series. NASCAR Statistics show the last driver to win Cup races in consecutive days was NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty in 1971 (7/14-15/1971 at New York’s Islip and Saratoga tracks).[[ad:athena]]
