Welcome to the MLB DFS Stacks article - where we’ll be looking to highlight the best hitting stacks of the day. These recommendations are categorized as “Cash Game Stacks” and “Tournament Stacks” while outlining risk/reward situations. We will add additional context with other hitting/pitching options throughout the article.
Keep in mind that the following player write-ups were constructed earlier in the day, and sometimes injury/rest situations can alter the fantasy landscape. Monitoring our MLB News & Headlines Feed throughout the day will keep you in the loop while giving you the subsequent DFS consequences of each information piece.

CASH GAME STACKS
Toronto (vs. Baltimore - RHP Dean Kremer)
Toronto is a top-five offense going against one of the worst pitchers (and bullpens) of this slate. The hitting environment at Sahlen Park in Buffalo is helpful as well. Baltimore RHP Kremer owns a 6.20 ERA with an inflated .374 wOBA split to right-handed bats. That bodes well for MVP candidate Valdimir Guerrero Jr. along with Marcus Semien, Bo Bichette, Teoscar Hernandez, and George Springer.

Houston (at Detroit - RHP Jose Urena)
Detroit RHP Jose Urena has been up against it lately, allowing 12 hits and 14 earned runs across six innings over his last two starts. Now he’ll face the red-hot Astros. We can’t forget that Urena owns a career .347 wOBA split to left-handed bats, so Yordan Alvarez, Michael Brantley, and Kyle Tucker will join Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa as legitimate DFS plays within this Houston stack.
Minnesota (vs. Cleveland - RHP J.C. Mejia)
I really like Minnesota as a value stack tonight. Cleveland RHP Mejia has allowed 14 hits and 12 earned runs through 9.2 innings over his last three games. The struggles could continue against a Twins’ offense that is starting to heat up. Nelson Cruz and Jorge Polanco are always legitimate options, but I’m more interested in value pieces like Max Kepler, Alex Kiriloff, Luis Arraez, and Trevor Larnach.

TOURNAMENT STACKS
Baltimore (at Toronto - LHP Anthony Kay)
Don’t forget the other side of this high over/under, as the Orioles could push across some runs tonight as well. Toronto LHP Anthony Kay holds a 6.43 ERA, and Sahlen Park is a hitter-friendly environment (as mentioned earlier). Trey Mancini, Ryan Mountcastle, and Maikel Franco are tournament options.
Pittsburgh (at St. Louis - RHP Carlos Martinez)
Carlos Martinez has really struggled lately, yielding 25 earned runs and 26 hits across 14.2 innings over his last four games. I understand that Pittsburgh doesn’t have many reliable hitters to stack against him, but Adam Frazier, Ke’Bryan Hayes, Bryan Reynolds, and Gregory Polanco look like the best of that group.
