DRAFT is back for another season of quick and exciting daily fantasy action. Their DFS platform offers poolies with a chance to participate in a format that most of us have grown very accustomed to over the years. You can compete in a live snake draft in which the participants take a player with each pick. Unlike other DFS games, this gives you the opportunity to use your knowledge to craft a team that no one else will have because the players you select cannot be chosen by your competition.
The draft is quick as you are allotted just 30 seconds per pick and you take five players. Your team is comprised of three forwards, a defenseman and a goalie.
Your strategy can be dictated by the positions being selected ahead of you. For instance, if you are going last and everyone else has a goaltender then you can wait until your last pick to make that selection. Of course, selecting players going up against weaker competition or players who are riding hot streaks are always popular strategies as well.
Remember, there are new pools available to play in but the players in my rankings will fall off the table as soon as the puck drops in their respective game.

There’s plenty of star power available for a busy Tuesday night slate. Chicago’s offense has been firing on all cylinders of late led by Kane, who has amassed 26 points during an 11-game scoring spree. Getting him with Toews or Alex DeBrincat versus the Oilers would be a solid plan of attack. McDavid and Draisaitl have been productive, so this has the potential to be a high-scoring affair. Crosby has been hot and that has made Guentzel dangerous. The clash between the top lines of Colorado and Columbus has the probability for fireworks, as both teams has struggled to keep the opposition off the board this campaign. Winnipeg, Boston, Tampa Bay and Washington have great players to build around as well on Tuesday night.
Defense Rankings:
- Brent Burns
- Kris Letang
- Roman Josi
- John Carlson
- Seth Jones
- Torey Krug
- Victor Hedman
- Erik Gustafsson
- Jacob Trouba
- Ryan Suter
Burns continues to lead all blueliners in scoring this season with 57 points in 53 outings. He has one goal and four helpers during a three-game point streak going into Tuesday night’s action. Letang also has a three-game point spree with one goal and three assists. Josi has been hot with eight points in his last 10 appearances. Krug, Gustafsson, Trouba and Suter have plenty of value too, so you shouldn’t worry if you don’t get Burns or someone rated higher on this list. You can afford to wait to select your defenseman for Tuesday’s slate.
Goaltender Rankings:
- Carey Price
- Pekka Rinne
- Matt Murray
- Andrei Vasilevskiy
- Braden Holtby
- Tuukka Rask
- Robin Lehner
- Devan Dubnyk
- Connor Hellebuyck
- Jordan Binnington
Price has been outstanding lately with five wins a row and a .957 save percentage during that stretch. The Canadiens will host the struggling Ducks, who will be playing for the third time in four nights as well as second half of a back-to-back. Rinne and the Predators will host the Coyotes, who will be playing for the second time in two nights. He has gone 0-2-0 versus Arizona this year, but this situation puts him in line for a bounce-back effort. Murray had a 39-save shutout against Carolina back on Dec. 22. Vasilevskiy has a win over Vegas this season and he is coming off a solid shutout victory against the Islanders on Friday. Holtby was very good in Sunday’s loss to Boston and will get a Vancouver squad that played the night before.
