This hasn’t been a good season for the Chicago Blackhawks, but Patrick Kane has been giving it his all. He led the Blackhawks to a 7-3 win against Buffalo with two goals and two assists, extending his point streak to 10 contests in the process.
With that, Kane’s up to 31 goals and 75 points in 51 games in 2018-19. He’s second in the scoring race behind just Nikita Kucherov, who has 79 points in 51 contests. Kane’s career-high is 106 points in 2015-16 when he won the Hart Trophy, but this season might end up being even better for him. Unfortunately, it’s wasted on this year’s Blackhawks as they’re 19-24-9 even after Friday’s win.
With four points on Friday, Kane also reached and surpassed the 900-point milestone. He’s up to 903 points in 873 games. He’s also just the third American-born player to reach that milestone within his first 12 seasons with the other two being Joe Mullen and Mike Modano, per TSN’s StatsCentre.
