AUGUSTA, Ga. – Phil Mickelson says he hopes his wife, Amy, and their three young children will arrive for the Masters before the Par 3 Contest begins at 1 p.m. today.
Mickelson said he wasn’t sure that would happen but hoped they would all be here later in the week. Amy’s still being treated for breast cancer. Mickelson accompanied his wife to Houston last month to see specialists there.
“It’s really a special time for me to have my kids caddie for me [at the Par 3 Contest],” Mickelson said. “We have pictures taken and we have collages and we put them up at home and I love looking back at how little they were. I just can’t believe how much they have grown and I use it kind of as a time line, seeing them in their cute little jumpers. It makes for really cool memories, and I hope they are able to make it.”
