PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Following Saturday’s weather delays at The Players, Sunday’s forecast seems a bit more encouraging.
There is a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms at about the time the leaders tee off (2:38 p.m.) with winds expected to gust to 15 mph. That forecast remains unchanged throughout the afternoon.
There has not been a Sunday weather delay at The Players since the event moved to May from March in 2007. The last Sunday suspension was in 2005 which forced a Monday finish.
