Sidelined since May 9 with a right quad strain, Adam LaRoche is on track to rejoin the Nationals as soon as he’s eligible tomorrow.
LaRoche played a pair of minor league rehab games and played seven innings at first base last night with Double-A Harrisburg. The veteran first baseman is back with the team in Pittsburgh and told Mark Zuckerman of CSNWashington.com this afternoon that he doesn’t feel any pain in his leg and expects to be in the lineup tomorrow against the Pirates.
LaRoche was off to a strong start at the plate prior to the injury, batting .319/.421/.504 with five home runs and 21 RBI over 32 games.
