There’s a lot of All-Star stuff for the folks at the league office to do this weekend, so they did their usual evening PED dump an hour or two early:
The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Milwaukee Brewers Minor League outfielder Ariel Estades has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for metabolites of Nandrolone, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Estades is on the Dominican Summer League team for the Brewers. My guess is that’s as far as he gets too. You can get popped for drugs when you’re in the upper levels, but down low. Ehhh.
