The Phillies have placed Nate Schierholtz on the DL with a fractured toe. There’s no timetable for his return, but it’s not like there’s any urgency in Philly at the moment.

Schierholtz has seven hits in 32 at-bats with a homer, a double and two RBIs since coming over from the Giants. Hector Luna has been called up to take his place.
