It’s 2010. The Royals have just completed a 95-loss season. Which is actually an improvement on their 97-loss season the year before. A bright flash rips through the Kansas City night and a silver DeLorean appears. Out jumps Doc Brown.
Doc: YOU HAVE TO COME WITH ME!
Royals fan: Where? Er, when?
Doc: Four years from now! We need to convince the 2014 you to skip the AL pennant celebration and get down to the stadium to buy a full-season ticket package for 2015 instead of a partial season ticket package! If not, your playoff tickets may not be as good as you hope they’ll be!
*Royals fan calls police, as an obviously insane person is accosting him.*
But really, that’s the problem the Royals are having right now. Too many season ticket holders want too many playoff tickets and it’s making people mad that they are being squeezed into bad seats.
What a world.
