OK, maybe “hate” is a strong term, but there’s a reason why people get all bent-out-of-shape about the Yankees, and stuff like this is the reason:
And yes, we know what you’re going to say: “it’s Harper and the Daily News and they’re full of it.” Well, be that as it may, the reason they’re allowed to be so full of it like this is that this particular brand of full of it sells a lot of papers because it reflects the opinions of a great many Yankees fans. If you’re more reasonable than that, wonderful. But realize that you’re in the minority.
