Mikaela Shiffrin entered the women’s slalom as a clear favorite to win gold, but the 2014 Olympic champion failed to deliver in both of her runs on Friday night.

Shiffrin finished fourth in both of her runs, and eight one-hundredths of a second behind Austria’s Katharina Gallhuber for the bronze medal.
