STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) — NBCSN will air 330 hours of events during the Rio Olympics, the most of any of NBCUniversal’s TV networks.
NBC announced Monday that the cable channel’s lineup will feature extensive coverage of men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s soccer — including the U.S. men’s basketball and women’s soccer teams. Medals will be won on NBCSN on every day of the Olympics.
NBCSN coverage will also include track and field, archery, boxing, cycling, fencing, field hockey, judo, open-water swimming, rugby, shooting, soccer, synchronized swimming, table tennis, weightlifting, wrestling and more.
NBC Olympics executive producer Jim Bell calls it “the perfect complement to our NBC broadcasts, allowing us to present long-form coverage of many of the games’ most popular sports and athletes.”
Most days, the network will air 16 hours of events from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. EDT. Coverage will start two days before the Opening Ceremony with women’s soccer Aug. 3.
