The United States won the FINA World Championships last year in Kazan, Russia, and they’ll look to follow up that result with an Olympic gold medal in Rio. The two nations met in the quarterfinals of those championships, with the United States eliminating Spain 8-5 on their way to the title. Also in Group A is Italy, which finished third in those championships, and host nation Brazil.
