Boston has lost two-consecutive games entering this contest, while Dallas has won seven-straight. Jayson Tatum has stayed Under 30 points in three-straight, making this a good bounce back spot on TV for Tatum and company.
Following two losses, Tatum has scored 30, 44 and 23 points this season and against Dallas, he dropped 37, 21 and 32 points over the previous three meetings.
During Tatum’s three-game Under stretch, he scored 29, 25 and 27 points on 44% from the field, 22% from three and 77% from the free-throw line. The Celtics’ star averaged 19.6 field goal attempts, 7.3 three-point attempts and 10.3 free-throw attempts during that three-game span.
With this being a big game for both squads, I expect Tatum to get his normal usage, if not more, meaning 20-plus field goal attempts and 10-plus free-throws.
In the last three versus Dallas, Tatum had 19, 23 and 24 field goal attempts in addition to seven or more triples attempted each game and 22 combined free-throw attempts. That’ll do.
LeBron James scored 38 on Dallas, Keldon Johnson put up 30 points, plus Julius Randle had 29 in addition to Quentin Grimes hitting 33 points in the same game versus the Mavericks in three of the past five games.
