USA Basketball announced on Monday that they had cut five players from the U-19 trials: San Diego State’s Malik Pope, Gonzaga’s Silas Melson, Villanova’s Eric Paschall and Class of 2016 prospects T.J. Leaf and Seventh Woods.
There are 16 finalists left on the roster, with one more cut -- down to 12 -- coming soon. The remaining team will travel to Greece on June 21st, at the end of training camp, to compete in the U19 World Championships, which begins on June 27th.
