In the weeks following Robert Marve‘s decision to transfer from Miami of Florida, he reportedly had a list of 15 colleges either he was interested in or were interested in him.Since then, the quarterback and his father have apparently whittled the list down to four, Eugene Marve told the Miami Herald. The elder Marve says his son is considering Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, University of South Florida and Purdue. Sooners head coach Bob Stoops has been in direct contact with the Marve family and “are a factor” according to Eugene. There has also been a discussion about paying his own tuition and attending Tennessee or Florida, but the paper says such an event isn’t likely to happen.Marve, who started 11 of 13 games for the Hurricanes last season, made public his decision to transfer on December 30. Initially, Miami placed severe restrictions on where he could transfer and play on a scholarship, including no SEC or ACC schools and no in-state programs.Less than a week later, the university eased the restrictions somewhat, allowing Marve to transfer to all but three schools in the SEC: Florida, LSU and Tennessee.Roughly a week after that, on January 9, the university further reduced the restrictions by allowing him to transfer to two in-state schools: Central Florida or South Florida.
