Former Vols Commit in More Trouble After Domestic Assault

Former Tennessee commitment Dwayne “D.J.” Hunter is in more legal trouble after a judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest after he was charged with assaulting a former girlfriend at an after prom party.Hunter, a track and football star at Cincinnati’s Middletown High School, allegedly choked the 17-year-old girl until she was unconscious, as well as punched and hit her in the face repeatedly, after he forced her into his car and threatened to kill her. This was the second time that Hunter was charged for assaulting the same girl. This is just the latest incident for Hunter, who was charged less than four months ago for felonious assault after shooting a 15-year-old boy in the face with a pellet gun.According to police reports, Hunter was driving his car when he passed the boy, before doubling back and shooting him in the eye and chin."It was like a practice drive-by shooting,” Detective Janice Jones said. The shooting incident was enough for Tennessee to walk away, as many schools were waiting for the legal process to run its course. Hopefully this newest incident is enough for schools to steer clear of an obvious bad seed.
