Already undergoing massive changes with eight players leaving the program, Bill Lynch‘s Indiana Hoosiers will be without All-Big Ten defensive end Jammie Kirlew, who is sitting out spring practice after undergoing a sports hernia surgery.Kirlew finished second in the Big Ten with 10.5 sacks and also had 19.5 tackles for loss, which ranked 3rd in the conference. The injury bothered him for much of last season as well."He didn’t get any better and it progressed with the soreness, so he had surgery done,” Lynch said.Indiana will also be without starting defensive tackle Deonte Mack for the spring after hip surgery.Losing two defensive starters, in addition to losing twin brothers Keith and Kevin Burrus and defensive tackle Jeff Boyd, and Indiana might be stuck doing a lot of skeleton drills.
