Initially classified as a “poor decision” that ultimately landed him an indefinite suspension by head coach Brady Hoke, Michigan wide receiver Darryl Stonum pleaded not guilty to a drunken driving charge Friday.
Stonum was given a personal recognizance bond and ordered to avoid alcohol and drugs. A pretrial hearing has been set for May 20, according to the Associated Press report.
The DUI was the second for Stonum in his three years at Michigan, the first being in 2008 when Stonum was a freshman.
