No letdown for Michigan State, up 42-14 at half

It looks like Michigan State is pretty much on cruise control in the final non-conference test before opening Big Ten play. The Spartans have established their dominance over Wyoming in the first half with a 42-14 lead at the halftime break.

Spartans quarterback Connor Cook has thrown for two touchdowns and rushed for another to help build the early lead. Keith Mumphery broke off a 33-yard touchdown run. The Spartans are already able to get in some younger players for some playing time. Damion Terry has already completed some passes. So has Tyler O’Connor.

Michigan State’s offense has piled up 334 yards of offense on 38 plays against Wyoming. As this game shifts to the second half, look for Mark Dantonio to give his key starters a rest the rest of the afternoon to make sure they are as healthy as can be heading into Big Ten play.
