Georgia appears to be one of those teams -- along with Syracuse, Arizona and Arizona State -- suffering from an exorbitant amount of preseason injuries, and unfortunately for the Bulldogs, they’re going to have to deal with one more that has some serious value attached to it.
Dawgs247.com writes today that senior safety Jakar Hamilton has two stress fractures in his right ankle and is likely done for the season. Hamilton has been out for a good portion of UGA’s preseason camp with what has been originally reported as a hamstring injury. It’s believed Hamilton has been dealing with the injury since the offseason.
Hamilton does have a redshirt to burn if he misses a majority of the season. He started five games for the Bulldogs as a junior in 2010, recording 27 tackles and an interception.
