It’s going to be a quick stop in Tampa for South Florida wide receiver T.J. Knowles.
Knowles, who originally transferred from the JUCO ranks to USF last May, has decided to leave the program for what head coach Skip Holtz referred to as personal reasons.
“It looks like T.J. Knowles, right now, will probably transfer,” Holtz said to the media Monday. “He has got some things at home that he needs to tend to. I’m really trying to work with him to make this a positive move. It is not a negative thing where he wants to leave, it’s just something he feels like he needs to do with his situation.”
Knowles, a towering 6-foot-8 redshirt junior, is originally from Las Vegas. While Holtz made no mention of where he thinks Knowles will transfer, general logic would indicate that if Knowles needed to be closer to home, UNLV or Nevada might be his next stop.
