Point Guard
Damian Lillard - Portland Trailblazers (vs. Boston Celtics)
Jaylen Brown is “uncertain” for tonight’s match up with the Portland Trailblazers. Kemba Walker is also out for tonight’s matchup. With these two players sidelined, Jayson Tatum is going to be the chalkiest player on the slate, and for good reason. His potential matchups would be Norman Powell and/or Robert Covington. Neither of these players are capable of maintaining Tatum. I expect this game to be very close and high scoring. Marcus Smart will have the task of holding down Damian Lillard and Evan Fournier. Fournier just defended CJ McCollumn. These matchups are interesting because Smart and Fournier actually match up pretty well against the two Portland superstars. Because Jason Tatum is a popular play, the pivot pay here would be investing in Norman Powell and exposure to either Jaylen Brown or Evan Fournier. Oddly enough, Boston matches up well against Portland (whether Brown plays or not). Over one matchup this season, Lillard scored 28 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Lillard is also a viable play but the salaries are not cheap. This paragraph was meant to show which Celtic to roster if Brown is confirmed out. But, after typing it and reading it, I decided to put it under a Damian Lillard heading. Why? Because yes there is offensive usage shifting in Boston tonight but that also has me investing in Lillard due to circumstance. Simply put, yes it is important to invest in Boston with two important players potentially out but it’s equally important to run this investment back with significant exposure to Damien Lillard.
Other PG Option: Marcus Smart & Tyrese Haliburton

Shooting Guard
Buddy Hield - Sacramento Kings (vs. Dallas Mavericks)
Fox will be out again due to health protocols and Harrison Barnes is doubtful for Sunday’s match up against the Mavericks. Marvin Bagley will enter the starting lineup along with Maurice Harkless. Chimezie Metu is unlikely to play tonight as well. Hield is the largest benefactor of the match up and the injuries Sacramento has tonight. Prior to Hield’s last game, his production was consistently high for a four game span. Sacramento will need him to get back on track tonight in order to keep this game close. The Dallas Mavericks are favored by -6.5 points with a 27.5 O/U.
Other SG Option: Reggie Bullock, Devin Vassell, and Duncan Robbinson [[ad:athena]]
Small Forward
Danny Green - Philadelphia 76ers (vs. San Antonia Spurs)
I decided to get interesting here. Danny Green is going to be needed in order to defend, DeMar DeRozan. Green has seen at least 20 minutes in each of his last three games and when needed, he has seen 30 minutes reaching a maximum of 37.8 DK points over the last month. We all know Green can be frustrating because there’s times when he just can’t drain a shot but you can’t deny his time on the court and potential usage at such low salaries around the industries. Green’s skill set will be needed against San Antonio tonight.
Other SF Options: DeMar DeRozan, Miles Bridges
Power Forward
Robert Covington - Portlant Trailblazers (vs. Boston Celtics)
If Covington can successfully defend Tatum he can rack up points in transition. The 3 point shooting big man might not match up well against Tatum in my book but that’s why we play the games. If Powell ends up attempting to defend Tatum, Covington will be free to do his thing offensively and rack up points at low ownership. Covington is the ultimate pivot against Jayson Tatum and general celtic exposure.
Other PF Option: Marvin Bagley and Julius Randle
Center
Damien Jones - Sacramento Kings (vs. Dallas Mavericks)
If Sacramento’s big men get into foul trouble, the Kings have proven to do everything in their power not to play Whiteside. It’s actually quite shocking how much they dont play the talented big man. For GPP purposes, there is a correlation play that is somewhat crazy but does make sense. With Porzingis out for tonight’s match up (as well as Tim Hardaway Jr.) Dallas’ PF/C duties are left on Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell. If you’re research has you liking Powell/Kleber, Damien Jones becomes a low owned, cheap GPP play. The big man has been proven to produce in a big way over minimal minutes. With Metu and Barnes likely out tonight, Jones could very well reach 20 plus minutes without Sacramento foul trouble.
Other C Option: Nerlens Noel and Richaun Holmes
