Here we go with the Single Game NFL DFS slate for Monday Night Football of Week 14. Tonight’s matchup is between the Cowboys and Bears, as Dallas is listed as 3 point road favorites with an over/under of 43.

Ezekiel Elliott - RB - Dallas
It’s a tough call when deciding between Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott as your Captain/MVP. I’m thinking Prescott will be the most popular choice in that role, especially on FanDuel where you don’t have to pay a premium for the multiplier. Elliott has been somewhat tame in recent weeks, averaging 14.2 FPPG (half PPR) over his last five outings. He has only scored two touchdowns over that span, but positive regression is knocking on the door. A breakout performance could be in store for Elliott on Thursday Night Football. While the Bears seem formidable against the run, they have actually been generous to most legitimate running backs they’ve faced. Let’s take Todd Gurley (25-97-1), Jordan Howard (19-82-1), Latavius Murray (27-119-1), and Josh Jacobs (26-123-2) are as examples. I’m expecting a heavy dose of Elliott in tonight’s game, and that should translate to solid fantasy production. Dallas’ backup RB Tony Pollard is questionable, and his absence would solidify Elliott’s workload even more.

Dak Prescott - QB - Dallas
Taking Elliott and Prescott in the same lineup definitely makes sense. That especially holds true when looking at the uninspiring fantasy options (and unpredictable nature) from the Bears’ offense. Prescott is certainly an MVP/Captain candidate, but I like Elliott in that spot as a sensible leverage opportunity. Dak has achieved 22+ fantasy points in five of his last six games, and the lone miss came against a tough New England defense. The matchup at Chicago isn’t great, but Prescott should see enough volume (with a sprinkle of rushing upside) to do his damage here.
BEST BARGAINS
Anthony Miller - WR - Chicago
Javon Wims - WR - Chicago
Taylor Gabriel will remain sidelined for Thursday’s matchup, meaning Anthony Miller and Javon Wims will stay promoted. Miller has gone for 6-54, 6-77, and 9-140 over the past three weeks. He’ll retain a prominent role in Chicago’s offense, especially if the Cowboys devote their best defensive resources to stopping WR Allen Robinson (a likely scenario) … As for Wims, he ran a route on 88% of the Bears’ dropbacks last week. There’s some boom/bust nature to him as the fourth option in a subpar passing attack, but he’ll see the field enough to garner consideration as a value filler.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Mitchell Trubisky (QB - CHI) and Allen Robinson (WR - CHI) are nothing more than tournament choices on tonight’s slate. Robinson holds more respect for cash games, and there’s upside if this happens to be a game where Trubisky can get him the football. However, he’s more of a “GPP mixer” given the currently inflated salary in a subpar matchup ... Tarik Cohen (RB - CHI) is another tournament blend who could be utilized as a cash filler. His value could spike if Chicago falls behind and turns to the passing game. As a result, view Cohen as a correlation play with Elliott from the other side.
What should we make of the Dallas receivers? Amari Cooper (WR - DAL) has been terrible on the road as a member of the Cowboys, and this doesn’t seem like the best matchup for him to break that slump. It helps that CB Prince Amukamara is doubtful, but the Bears still have a solid secondary unit. Michael Gallup (WR - DAL) is boom-or-bust while Randall Cobb (WR - DAL) has somewhat limited upside. I don’t mind Cobb as a value filler in cash games if you need someone near his price point, which is much lower than Cooper/Gallup. He has seen seven or more targets in four of his past five outings.
David Montgomery (RB - CHI) is an interesting tournament choice when building multiple entries. You know the Bears want to run the football, but they have had trouble establishing it this season. If Chicago jumps out to an early lead, Montgomery could see enough volume to shoot for fantasy upside. In that scenario, it makes sense to roll with the rookie alongside Prescott and a receiver or two from the Cowboys.
Brett Maher (K - DAL) and Eddy Pineiro (K - CHI) are both in play through all formats, especially on DraftKings. This is a relatively low over/under with a pair of quality defenses facing each other. There aren’t many hopeful bargains with a path to upside, so falling back on a kicker makes sense to round out your lineup.
