With Mother’s Day now passed, Father’s Day is right around the corner. Maybe you’ve already bought tickets to the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach Father’s Day weekend and will be playing some golf on the Monterey Peninsula.
If not, the 2014 U.S. Open host, Pinehurst Resort, is offering a special Father’s Day package June 18th-20th.
The package features three nights accommodations at the Carolina Hotel, a round of golf on Pinehurst No. 2 with caddies, plus a round on Pinehurst No. 4 next door. It also includes daily breakfast, plus two dinners with author and golf historian Jim Dodson, who will be sharing some colorful golf stories.
Don’t worry, you’ll still catch the U.S. Open with access to the U.S. Open VIP Room, which will feature multiple big screen TVs, putting contests and interactive games, and some pub grub. Tee times Sunday on No. 2 will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start, so you’ll have plenty of time to watch the action on television afterward in VIP style. The Pinehurst village has a handful of golf memorabilia shops so after golf, stop in and see if you can’t spruce up Dad’s office with some rare collectibles.
The Father’s Day package is $795 per person, pretty solid when you consider No. 2’s rack rate alone is over $400 without caddies. Visit Pinehurst.com for more information.
