Chiefs vs Browns Prediction: Odds, Expert Picks, QB Matchup, injury News, Betting Trends and Stats

Should Chiefs worry about lack of convincing wins?
Mike Florio and Devin McCourty spell out why the Chiefs can’t go back and change anything about their previous wins and why they need to continue to believe they’ll find ways to win.

The Chiefs are small road favorites when they visit the Browns, who will look to play spoiler.

Kansas City snuck out another victory, beating the Chargers on a last-second field goal to win 19-17. The Chiefs are 12-1 on the season and have won the past three games by a combined seven points (Panthers, Raiders, Chargers). Kansas City has won a game by more than seven points since Week 7 against the 49ers.

Cleveland is 3-10 this season and out of the playoff race, so the Browns will play spoiler for the remainder of the season. The Browns’ defense has allowed 27 or more points in three of the past four games and are 1-3 since the bye week. Jameis Winston has been a positive sign for this team as he threw for 334, 395, and 497 yards in three of six starts.

Game odds for Chiefs vs. Browns

The latest odds as of Thursday courtesy of DraftKings:

Moneyline: Kansas City Chiefs (-198), Los Angeles Chargers (+164)

Spread: Chiefs -4 (-110)

Total: 44.0

The line opened at Kansas City -6.5 and has been bet down to Chiefs -4 or -4.5 at most shops. The Chiefs have won the last three games by a combined seven points, so it’s not surprising to see the spread drop on the road. The total has barely moved from 43.5 to 44.0 as both are defensive-first teams.

NBC Sports Bet Best Bet

Vaughn Dalzell (@VmoneySports) likes Patrick Mahomes to go Under 0.5 interceptions versus the Browns:

“Patrick Mahomes has 12 touchdowns to two interceptions over the last six games with both picks coming against the Bills.

Mahomes has not thrown an interception in five of the past six games after opening the season with seven consecutive games with an interception.

Cleveland has four interceptions on the year, ranking tied for third-worst only ahead of the Giants (2) and Jets (2). The Browns’ defense hasn’t been as opportunistic as years prior. If Mahomes doesn’t turn the ball over, Kansas City should walk away with another win. I like Mahomes Under 0.5 interceptions as one of my best bets.
