The NBA Draft Lottery largely followed form for a change, only one team moved up — the Los Angeles Lakers.
So when Jenna Corrado and I discussed the winners from Tuesday night, we started in LA (and finished on the other side of the country).
Lakers fans feel the basketball gods owed them after a few brutal years of injuries; fans of 29 other NBA teams would beg to differ.
During my twitter chat on NBCSports’ account Thursday I got a lot of questions from Lakers fans about D’Angelo Russell and who the Lakers should draft. My advice to Lakers fans: Don’t complicate it. Your team desperately needs more talent at every position on the floor — take the best player regardless of position. Scouts are pretty unanimous that starts with the Jahlil Okafor and Karl Anthony Towns. Having too many good bigs is not a problem.
