Larkin will reportedly join Grand Rapids on an amateur tryout. The Griffins kick off the Western Conference Finals Sunday in Utica.
Larkin, the 15th overall pick in the 2014 draft, was on the United States team that won bronze at the recent World Championship in the Czech Republic. The 18-year-old forward said earlier in the month that he was still weighing whether to go pro or return to Michigan for a second season of college hockey.
#RedWings in process of signing Dylan Larkin to 3-yr entry contract, would run '15-16, '16-'17, '17-18. ATO = he can play in AHL playoffs.
