Teemu Selanne does more than defy the aging process on a game-by-game basis: he’s also the winner of the coveted giant ceramic pig. Selanne’s team bested Corey Perry’s to take home the top, um, prize at the Anaheim Ducks’ annual skills competition.
“It was similar to when I hoisted the Stanley Cup, you know?” Selanne joked. “This is pretty heavy, too. You have to earn this. This little pig came home, so it’s good.”
Team Selanne also won the competition in 2011. We can see why Ducks GM Bob Murray singled Selanne out as one of the team’s two untouchable players back in January.
