Clint Trickett gets second start at West Virginia

After getting a chance to star last week for West Virginia and leading the Mountaineers to a victory over Oklahoma State, Clint Trickett will once again get to start this weekend. The question of whether he would start or not was due to an injury to Trickett’s throwing arm last week.

West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen made the announcement Thursday night on his weekly radio show, according to the Associated Press. Trickett passed for 309 yards and a touchdown last week against Oklahoma State before having to leave with his injury concern. The Florida State transfer was intercepted twice but he had provided a bit of a spark for the Mountaineers, who were blown out in shutout fashion the week before by Maryland.

West Virginia travels to Baylor this weekend and will need the offense to be in top form. The Bears are averaging a nation-leading 751.3 yards and 69.7 points per game this season.
