Yes, you read that right. And, yes, that TMZ.
The entertainment gossip site that’s currently spreading its tentacles and dipping its toes into the sports arena is reporting that Oklahoma State will be the one to tip over the next conference domino.
Citing a source within the OSU athletic department, the website reports that a Cowboys move to the Pac-10 is a “done deal”. As far as an official announcement goes, the source said it’s “just a matter of time.”
OSU, of course, is one of six Big 12 schools rumored to be headed to the Pac-10 if Nebraska leaves for the Big Ten and if Texas can’t/won’t hold the conference together.
Neither Perez Hilton nor People magazine could be reached for comment regarding this latest development.
UPDATE 2:18 p.m. ET: Tulsa World was able to track down OSU spokesman Kevin Klintworth, who said of the TMZ report, “At this point, there’s no confirmation of that.”
