CATCHER

Martin Maldonado - Houston Astros (vs. Boston Red Sox - SP Eduardo Rodriguez)

If you want exposure to the Houston Astros lineup without investing too much of your salary, Straw and Maldonado are solid investments on the backend of Houston’s lineup. I expect Maldonado and Straw to benefit from a Houston victory. Maldonado tends to be a “boom or bust” type of player and in Fenway Park, I’m gonna go with boom tonight. Rodriguez has allowed seven home runs over his last 10 games and nine home runs overall. Boston’s left-hander tends to allow the long ball to opposing right-handed hitters, making this a very tough matchup for Rodriquez. Remember, Boston’s bullpen is particularly bad, this could be a massive day for the Houston Astros if Rodriquez can’t perform.

Other option: Gary Sanchez

FIRST BASE

Mark Canha - Oakland A’s (vs. Kansas City Royals - SP Mike Minor)

Well aware Canha is mainly OF eligible but important nonetheless. Canha has three home runs in 15 at-bats against Mike Minor. He also has a double and six hits while batting .400 (with only two strikeouts). Minor actually has solid numbers against opposing lefties and righties but he has only faced 38 left-handed batters this season. Conversely, he has faced 216 right-handed batters thus far. Minor pitches much better on the road with a 3.12 ERA. In his last start, which against Minnesota, he allowed three home runs, seven hits, totaling five runs scored. Can Minor get back on track tonight? Canha has been on a tear recently. His last seven FP totals are: 19, 2, 0, 15, 27, 11, and 12. Expensive salary at 4,800 but for good reason. Lock in Mark Canha as a one-off.

Other option: Josh Bell

SECOND BASE

Jose Altuve - Houston Astros (vs. Boston Red Sox - SP Eduardo Rodriguez)

If something is not broken, why fix it? The Houston Astros continue to dominate and once again they’re right-handed batters came through last night against Boston’s SP Nathan Eovaldi. Houston righties see multiple advantages tonight. They will be facing Boston’s left-handed SP Eduardo Rodriguez. Rodriguez has a 5.60 ERA over his last 10 starts and has struggled recently. I expect Houston’s Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and Carlos Correa to be tonight‘s most popular investments, and rightfully so. I called the same three-player stack last night on the NBC Sports Edge Instagram takeover. They came through in a big way. Fenway Park is the home of the Green Monster. Although the Green Monster is 38 ft tall, it is also only 310 ft from home plate. Fenway Park tends to turn right-handed batting pop-ups into home runs. Lock in the Houston Astros tonight. This game is a pick em’ (-110) with a 9.0 O/U courtesy of PointsBet.com

SHORTSTOP

Carlos Correa - Houston Astros (vs. Boston Red Sox - SP Eduardo Rodriguez)

Carlos Correa is averaging 14.5 FPPG with four home runs over his last 40 at-bats. Correa has been batting third behind either Alverez or Bregman. Houston’s shortstop has 38 fantasy points over his last two games with five hits, four runs, one double, and one home run with two RBIs. There’s no stopping Correa and the Houston Astros at the moment. Don’t miss out!

Other option: Brandon Crawford

THIRD BASE

Gio Urshela - New York Yankees (vs. Minnesota Twins - SP J.A. Happ)

Urshela is batting .286 with three doubles and one home run over his last 42 at-bats. Happ allows righties to average .279 with eight home runs over 172 at-bats this season. Happ is allowing a .529 SLG which is very high considering left-handed batters have a .179 SLG against Happ. Lock in New York Yankee right-handed sluggers for the win.

Other option: Alex Bregman

OUTFIELD

Aaron Judge / Giancarlo Stanton - New York Yankees (vs. Minnesota Twins - SP J.A. Happ)

The highest over-under on the slate belongs to the New York Yankees vs. Minnesota Twins. It’s currently sitting at 11.0 favoring the Yankees by -136 on Pointsbet.com. The Yankees are starting to improve as Giancarlo Stanton had two home runs last night and Aaron Judge had one of his own. I think the Yankees are starting to come around and this is the perfect time to invest in them as they face former Yankee, J.A. Happ. Happ is a left-handed pitcher susceptible to the home run ball, especially against power righties. I

expect Judge and Stanton to perform tonight considering the high over-under and -136 Moneyline favoring New York. Stanton and Judge are currently expensive investments for your daily fantasy lineups but worth it! Hopefully, these high prices keep their roster percentages low. Judge and Stanton both have two home runs against Happ in the past. Against Happ, Stanton is batting 4 for 12 with a double and two home runs while Judge is batting 4 for 10 with a double and two home runs.

Myles Straw - Houston Astros (vs. Boston Red Sox - SP Eduardo Rodriguez)

The last Houston Astro that I will discuss is Myles Straw. It kind of shocked me that people are not jumping on Straw as his salary continues to hover at minimum price. Stra has totaled 12, 14, and 17 points in three of his last four games. Last night he had two more hits with a double and two RBI. Straw has now reached at least 12 fantasy points in three of his last four games. I simply do not understand his salary of $2,000 on Draftkings. A backend Houston Astros stack would make sense tonight in order to get different for a popular Houston stack.
