NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.
Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.
Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Forwards:
Steven Stamkos (Tampa Bay) - W - $7,700 (FanDuel), C - $7,400 (DraftKings), $29 (Yahoo)
Stamkos has been held off the scoresheet just once in his past 12 games. He has supplied four goals, 12 assists and 33 shots during that stretch. Stamkos only has one goal and one helper on the man advantage, though, with the bulk of his production coming at even strength.
Jonathan Marchessault (Vegas) - W - $7,000 (FanDuel), $5,100 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo)
Marchessault potted his team-leading 14th goal of the season on Sunday. He has lit the lamp in three of the last four games, while picking up an assist and 13 shots on target. Marchessault has generated five goals and seven points over nine matches going into Tuesday’s matchup versus Tampa Bay.
Lars Eller (Washington) - C - $4,300 (FanDuel), $4,300 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo)
Eller has moved up the depth chart due to the COVID-19 protocol-related absences of Nicklas Backstrom and Evgeny Kuznetsov. He has been skating alongside Alex Ovechkin on the top line and working on the first power-play unit. Eller has three goals and five points in his past six outings. He makes for a great value play on Tuesday night.
Bargain Bin: Claude Giroux (PHI) - W - $5,700 (FanDuel), $17 (Yahoo), C - $5,700 (DraftKings), Conor Sheary (WSH) - W - $4,400 (FanDuel), $3,300 (DraftKings), $3,300 (Yahoo), Daniel Sprong (WSH) - W - $4,200 (FanDuel), $3,200 (DraftKings), $16 (Yahoo)

Defensemen:
Alex Pietrangelo (Vegas) - $7,200 (FanDuel), $7,000 (DraftKings), $22 (Yahoo)
Pietrangelo has been all over the scoresheet since he got the board at the end of October. He has amassed 22 points (five goals, 17 assists) in 24 contests. Pietrangelo has been held without a point once in his past seven appearances. He has one goal, seven helpers (two on the power play), 24 shots and 18 blocks during that span.
Bargain Bin: Ivan Provorov (PHI) - $4,200 (FanDuel), $5,300 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo), Travis Sanheim (PHI) - $4,400 (FanDuel), $3,400 (DraftKings), $15 (Yahoo)

Goaltenders:
Ilya Samsonov (Washington) - $8,300 (FanDuel), $7,900 (DraftKings), $36 (Yahoo)
Samsonov has been on the bench for the past two games, but a return to the crease seems like a good bet after Vitek Vanecek was in goal for a 3-2 loss to Los Angeles on Sunday. Samsonov has been superb against Philadelphia in his career, with a 5-0-0 record, a 2.31 goals-against average and .924 save percentage in six games played.
Other Play: Andrei Vasilevskiy (TB) - $8,600 (FanDuel), $7,600 (DraftKings), $37 (Yahoo)
