Rebound king

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Officials at Augusta National don’t dole out crystal for the week’s best reclamation project, but if they did pencil in Chad Campbell for the 2010 edition.

Campbell, among the bottom two-thirds in last year’s Masters’ playoff, struggled on Thursday to an opening-round 79. On Friday, when the winds picked up and pins were tucked, Campbell matched the low round of the day with a 4-under 68, 11 strokes better than Thursday’s effort.

“You could see it, on (Thursday night) everyone was just kind of relaxing and he wasn’t done,” said Dennis Harrington, Campbell’s manager with Orasi Sports.
