Phil Mickelson withdrew from the Memorial Tournament after a 1st round 79, citing fatigue. In the last 4 weeks, Mickelson played 3 PGA TOUR events and flew to Europe to celebrate his wife’s 40th birthday.

Scott Stallings shot a first round 6-under par 66 to take the first round lead. Stallings is one shot ahead of Spencer Levin and Erik Compton.
