MASN’s Roch Kubatko reports that the Orioles have discussed multi-year contracts with several players, including starter Chris Tillman. He adds that the Orioles could revisit those talks at some point in the future.
Tillman, 27 in April, avoided arbitration in his first year of eligibility by agreeing to a one-year, $4.315 million contract with the Orioles on Friday. The right-hander finished the 2014 season with a 13-6 record, a 3.34 ERA, and a 150/66 K/BB ratio in 207 1/3 innings. After struggling in his first few years in the league, Tillman has established himself as a dependable starter over the last two seasons.
