Former Alabama QB Blake Sims is trying out with the Redskins as a running back.
The experiment appears to be going well, as coach Jay Gruden said Sims looks like he has been playing running back for a long time. An erratic thrower, Sims’ best chance at an NFL future is at running back. He rushed for 705 yards in four years at Alabama and ran a 4.57 40 with a 9-foot-7 broad jump at the Combine.
